Quotables
Daddy:"If you don't put that (foot) stool away right now, I'm putting it in the garbage."
Chandra:"Yeah but the garbage is too full, daddy!"
(We got told yet again :-)
Chandra: "Grown up shows are so boring ... " in the context of having to turn to something other than Playhouse Disney (not that she sits and watches the shows all the time, it's in the background) while she's playing.

Oh really?
Watching Rick Mercer...Me: "Chandra, do you know who that is, it's Rick...?"
Chandra: " It's Rick James mommy, Rick James is daddy's cousin."
Me: "Daddy, you've gone some explaining to do" (in my best Desi Arnaz accent)...and then sing "Superfreak"
Today:
Mommy "I'm a Rock Princess" and then she proceeds to do the guitar move that goes along with it! She got a Rock Princess applique for her wall today after her visit to the dentist.
While watching If I had you, "Mommy, I want to go to this party" , Me: "I think it's kind of a grown up party". Chandra: "Yeah, but I can play with them". (She's always wanting the 'desert' part of the song meaning the beginning).

Parenting 101
You know you’re a parent when:
- You have memorized the 3-5 a.m. TV Guide schedule from your kids’ fussy nights, colicky nights, teething nights and sick nights etc etc
- You have Playhouse Disney and Treehouse and the Spa (soft music) channel as your favourites on your remote. Some of the shows introduction songs are completely stuck in your brain and you find yourself singing them wherever you are, in your dreams, at work, to your kids etc.
- You know what a Bumbo, Lanolin, Bjorn, Quattro Tour, Heart 2 Heart, Glider, Bugaboo, Graco, Brittax, Bath Easel, Sophie, Born Free, Jolly Jumper, Medela (Swing in Style), etc. does
- Convertible has a totally different meaning to you now (i.e. 3 in 1, 2 in 1).
- You have several “gliders” in your home.
- You remember all the Sharon, Lois and Bram songs from your childhood and are singing them to your kids-thanks to the Early Years Centres - Priti is awesome!
- The Early Years facilitators know you and your children well because of how often you want to get out of the house and meet other awesome moms! So now all of your kids know “Riding on the buggy with”, “Rolly polly”, “Smooth Road” “Hokey Pokey” and “Going to Kentucky” and when your favourite facilitator is away, you are lost.
- The mommies at the groups know you best as your child's name's Mommy instead of your actual name and this is how you now introduce yourself.
- The staff at the restaurants you frequent know your kids names better than yours. And the several backpacks of things to do that you bring with you as well. And sure enough, the one thing happens that you are never prepared for, i.e. out of wipes, diapers, spare outfits etc.
- You have no issues in talking about your child's bowel movement and eating afterwards.
